Northeast Ohio Medical University, also known as NEOMED, and formerly known as the Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy (NEOUCOM), is a community-based, public state university that offers M.D., B.S./M.D., Pharm.D., M.P.H., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. ==Campus== The campus is located in Rootstown, Ohio, approximately east of Akron. It is the only medical school in the country that has a partnership with four state universities: the University of Akron, Cleveland State University, Kent State University, and Youngstown State University, as well as 17 hospitals. This relationship allows the university to focus on its mission of training physicians oriented to the practice of medicine at the community level. Class size is typically around 105-110 medicine students and 75-85 pharmacy students.
